Privacy notice
This notice explains what Restorra does with the information you send us. The short version: we use it to answer your enquiry and quote your job — nothing else.
Who we are
Restorra is an owner-operated exterior restoration business run by Kieran, based in Leyland, Lancashire. For anything to do with your data, contact kieran@restorra.co.uk.
What we collect, and why
The enquiry form collects only four things: the service or services you are interested in, your name, your preferred contact method (call, text, WhatsApp or email) and the single phone number or email address needed for that method. It also records which page you sent it from, the date and time, and any campaign or referral parameters in the link you followed. It does not ask for a postcode, an address, dimensions or photographs, and there is no consent tick-box — sending the form is your request that we contact you. We use these details to respond to your enquiry, discuss the work, arrange a site survey where one is needed, prepare your written quotation and carry out any work you book. Address, survey and job details are only recorded later, once you have asked us to take the work further. If you call or email us instead, we collect whatever you choose to tell us.
We don't add you to marketing lists, and we don't sell or share your details for anyone else's marketing. If we ever introduce a newsletter or offers, that will be a separate, unticked opt-in.
Our legal basis for using it
We rely on more than one lawful basis, depending on what we're doing with your details:
- Steps you've asked us to take before a contract — using your enquiry details to discuss the work, assess it where needed and provide your written quotation. We do not rely on consent to respond to an enquiry you have sent us, which is why the enquiry form has no consent tick-box; consent would only ever be used for something separate, such as marketing, and would be a distinct, unticked opt-in.
- Contract — carrying out any work you book and administering our relationship with you.
- Legal obligation — keeping invoice and accounting records for the period the law requires.
- Legitimate interests — proportionate administration, fraud prevention, system security and defending legal claims where applicable.
- Consent — only where we ask separately, such as using photos of your property in our portfolio or on social media.
We don't rely on consent for responding to your enquiry itself, so there's no separate consent checkbox on the form — sending it is treated as your request for us to get in touch, on the bases above.
Where it's stored
Enquiries arrive by email to kieran@restorra.co.uk (Google Workspace) and through our website host, Netlify, whose form service receives and stores form submissions on our behalf. Job records — quotes, before-and-after photos, invoices — are kept in the same business accounts. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy terms.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don't become jobs are deleted within 12 months. Records of completed work — quotes, invoices and job photos — are kept for up to 6 years to meet accounting and legal obligations, then deleted.
Photos of completed work
We photograph jobs before and after as part of our quality process. We only use photos of your property in our portfolio, website or social media with your separate permission — job evidence and marketing use are never bundled together.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, correct it, have it deleted, or object to how it's used. Email kieran@restorra.co.uk and we'll respond within one month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
